Disc Golf is a sport or game that is played similarly to traditional golf, but instead of using clubs and a ball, disc golfers use their arms and a disc. Also instead of trying to get the ball inside a hole in the ground, in disc golf the object is to get a disc to land in a basket or target that is elevated from the ground in as few throws as possible.

Disc golf has other common names like frisbee golf or frolf. Courses are found in a variety of different terrains and locations. Many courses are in maintained city parks, but some are found in forrests, mountains, and unpopulated areas not otherwise used for other activities.  Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. It is even more popular per capita in countries like Sweden and Finland.
